1995

Specials & Streetfightered motorcycles were around long before 1995. This particular year would have had little significance in motorcycle history if it had not been for the unexpected change in the life of one individual.

Pat left work in 1995 when her partner became ill. From an early age Pat had been around motorbikes & those wild types that rode them but during the long hours of reading her much loved bike magazines she & her partner developed an incredible understanding of all types of motorcycles with a particular passion for modified machines. With so much free time & with a need for a joint mission in life, building a Streetfighter was almost a foregone event.

Later that very year Pat had managed to get her Streetfightered machine into a magazine - which, for many would have been the pinnacle of their creative existence. There the story might well have ended but for a chance conversation about Streetfighters & the people that rode them. It became clear there were no clubs or organisations who represented & fed the interests of people who loved Streetfightered machines, sure there were streetfighter magazines, but these were run for profit by people who knew less than she did.

So with the usual "fling me in the deep end, I know can't swim, but I'm sure I'll make it to the other side" attitude, 6 (all male) friends, a state of the Ark computer (which she still can't use) & a seriously dodgy printer The Streetfighters Owners Club was born.

1996

Only a year later - after months in promotional effort - the SFOC was invited to the Sheffield Arena to display SFOC Members bikes. The star of the show was a Nickel Plated Spondon belonging to Pete Cullin (gorgeous bike!!!!).

The SFOC had hit the UK public stage

An after show party (now compulsory) was organised for those willing drinkers wanting to, well, er - party. After the fun & games people had at the party the club membership rose to around 100

The success of the SFOC in Sheffield, that first year, led to many repeat visits until the demise of the entire Shefield event.

1996-2002

During this period of time the SFOC went from strength to strength appearing on television, putting on Streetfighter stands at the GMEX, SQUIRES, The ACE Cafe Streetfighters Day, Durham Bike Wise & even events run by the Cumbrian Police!

2003

After 8 years hard work & the unpaid 'labour of love' running the SFOC - together with a number of serious personal events - the single person "one woman band", who was managing nearly all of the SFOC, finally ran out of steam & year off was badly needed.

2004-2005

On Pat's return & to jolt the club back into life every member received a years free membership! The club was back in business with Pat at the helm.

2006

By now the SFOC were ready to hold their first rally & despite the weather people still got naked & had a great time (photos in the gallery section!)

Membership is around 600 & growing almost daily

The website has taken a number of leaps forward with the addition of an online store, gallery & live chat area

Other groups have even tried to imitate the SFOC however we all know there is only 1 SFOC!!!

The here and now 2009

Now you know about the SFOC - what is the SFOC currently about?

  • We are a large group of motorcycle riders who have a real (train spotter) passion for Streetfightered machines.
  • Our membership reaches around the world into many countries, with sister clubs in some.
  • The club has a strong brand image, is respected & effective in it's presentations.
  • Membership of the SFOC offers some very practical discounts (insurance, parts etc) & a whole host of unique facilities, such as a personal e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it & expert help & advice.
  • As a group members welcome new people with open arms & are ready to help the individual in so many different ways - check the Forum out!
  • You won't find any "political" in fighting in this club - how rare is that? (maybe it's because the club is run by a woman??)

Members come from all walks of life, some are Company Directors (you'd never know it) others are welders, artists, engineers - but all members, whatever their job, are salt of the earth individuals you'd count yourself dead lucky to have as friends.

IF YOU HAVE A DESIRE FOR THE DARK SIDE OF MOTORCYCLE MODIFICATION - THIS IS WHERE IT'S AT!!!
